The Comex diving company in the south of France played an integral part in the development of the Rolex dive watch line up and as a mark of that relationship the company divers were issued with Rolex watches...often carrying the Comex company logo on the dial as well as unique case back engravings.

this model is one of the early models supplied to Comex and is essentially a standard 5513 but with a helium escape valve added by Rolex.
