Comex 5514 matte dial big number

The Comex diving company in the south of France played an integral part in the development of the Rolex dive watch line up and as a mark of that relationship the company divers were issued with Rolex watches...often carrying the Comex company logo on the dial as well as unique case back engravings.

The model 5514 was only issued to Comex, it was essentially a 5513 model but with a helium escape valve added for deep diving and the big numbers variant (literally big numbers on the back) is the most sought after model.

this example came straight from the original recipient and is complete with letter detailing his diving career and his log books.
