The epitome of dress down shabby chic…… a great wearer of a watch, its an absolute bugger to capture on film how truly charming this piece is.

Very early version of the rounded grown guards watch, it features a very glossy Gilt dial with no blistering or mottling in the gloss coat that has turned a dark hershey chocolate bar brown all over and is spreading to a milk chocolate from the hub and around the edges and through a small starburst near the 9 o'clock marker…..Indoors you pick up the brown and strong golden glow a little from the gilt lettering….take it outside in the sun and it really sets it off.

Left as found the watch has the small gilt hand set and a case complete with dings and dents and is perfectly complemented by a vintage leather strap.

In these crazy days of exploding prices especially for tropicals this is a perfect watch for actually wearing and leaving your safe queens tucked up nicely on the winder.
