Cream Dial Explorer II 16550 with BNP and Service History

There are many articles on the net relating to the collectible cream dial Explorers with some conflicting information.... but from my research i feel that these watches were originally shipped with their dials already affected by the colour change from the intended white to real life Ivory. However you believe they occurred, it is true they are very sought after and give a slightly different look.... crossing the divide between vintage and modern era watches, the sapphire crystal modern look is balanced nicely by the toned dial with patina.

One of those full package watches that tracks all the way back... sold new by my local AD, insurance appraised and Rolex serviced regularly through them, this was bought by a friend from the original owner (through the AD) several years ago and has lived in a safe as part of a collection ever since picking up some nice patina to the markers.

A sharp Ivory/Cream dial in excellent condition. It has a stunning look and is very collectible, especially complete with the full original box and punched papers.
