Beautiful meter first 5513 Submariner

General

The perfect entry model vintage Submariner, being a slightly earlier meters first variant this piece is just a little more interesting. Following shortly after the gilt dial era , for a hsort period these dial were made with a high luminous content just like their predecessors but with the a flat matt finish like the later 70's watches.

This example has a nice creamy patina whereas many of similar examples take on quite a strong yellow tone, a pleasingly faded bezel insert that has taken on a blue grey tinge and a nicely finished case showing good clean sharp edges.

The watch was serviced this year by a Rolex trained and approved watchmaker and is keeping excellent time.

Great condition Meters first "malteser dial' with the nice domed original plots in excellent condition.
