Comex 5513 with superb provenance to die for ..

If you want a top drawer Comex then look no further...the 5513 model was the watch that started it all. Rolex especially fitted a helium escape valve ( obviously never an option for the civilian market ) to these early models. These very rare early watches pre-date the 5514 model and some would argue represent the earlier and more desirable investment.

This piece was sourced from its original Comex diver some years ago and comes complete with everything you could possibly hope for ...the divers log book, divers Comex ID cards, diving certificates, Rolex Service papers, and rather importantly a letter from Rolex UK confirming the Comex issue number.

Case

40mm stainless steel. The case has benefited from a recent Rolex UK full service and polish . The back retains the Comex engraving and clearly engraved 'medium sized' issue number with great stylized font. Inside there is of course the last three digits from the mid case serial number. All serials are clearly engraved and visible.

Dial

Razor sharp unmarked matt logo dial leaves nothing wanting ... unlike many of the later 5514 dials which are prone to deterioration this is a real pleasure to stare at.
