Terms of business
1. Condition – All watches are sold as described and as seen and are guaranteed 100% genuine. We thoroughly inspect all pieces to ensure accurate description of condition, to ensure timekeeping within manufacturer’s specification and, on arrival with us, to check for water proof capabilities.
We are of course human, so if within 7 days of purchase you find a fault in description please notify us immediately, you will obviously have the right to return as set out in the returns policy below or we will do our best to remedy the problem to your satisfaction. If within 3 months you find the watch to be failing to keep time within the manufacturers specification we will warranty either the cost of effective repair by a manufacturer approved watchmaker of your choice or return of the watch to our own watchmaker to rectify the problem. We can NOT guarantee water resistance and we strongly recommend to all our collectors that you have your vintage pieces regularly checked by a qualified watchmaker.
2. Payment – We accept the following forms of payment.
Personal cheque drawn on an Australian or UK bank are accepted when supported by two forms of identification. Goods will not be released for delivery until funds are cleared.
Cash – for sums over £5000.00 or AU$8000.00 cash will only be accepted when supported by two forms of acceptable identification which will be copied and kept with our sales records. Goods will not be released until the cash has been accepted into our bank account.
Paypal – we accept Paypal payments by e-cheque or bank transfer. For Paypal credit card payments please contact us directly to discuss as these will ONLY be considered on a case by case basis.

3. Price – all goods are priced in Great British pounds sterling (GBP). Any other indication given on the website as to other currencies is provided as a guide only. Settlement will be accepted in any other currency by negotiation at the prevailing rate at time of settlement. Any refunds will be made to the value of GBP received at the date of sale.
4. Delivery – for stock items located in a local market (
For watches over £30 000.00 personal delivery/collection is preferred and recommended.
5. Returns – we offer a no quibble 7 day return if in any way the item is not as described or shown. Please notify us within 7 days of receipt if there is a problem and that you would like shipping instructions. Return shipping is at the buyers cost unless agreed in writing previosuly by the company.
6. Copyright - All scans, images, and text remains the property of The Time Traveller PTY LTD and are protected by copyright. Nothing may be copied, saved, printed or reproduced without our prior permission. We will take action against copyright infringements.
7. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will restrict our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, neither will any of these terms restrict any of your statutory rights.
In addition that outlined above we will not be deemed to be in breach of contract or of these Terms and Conditions as a result of any delay in our performance or failure to perform our obligations if that delay or failure to perform is due to any cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood and other acts of God, strikes, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war.
Other than as set out above, our maximum liability arising out of any order for the supply of goods to you under this contract will be limited to the retail price of the goods contained in that order.
8. Protecting your privacy is our number one priority and any personal information we receive about you or your business will be used in accordance with the UK data protection act of 1998 or the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988
In certain situations we may ask your for personal information such as credit card details, email address, home address etc. Normally this information will help us to return your enquiry in respect of a sale or purchase of a watch or luxury gift item.
We can offer you our 100% assurance that your personal information will not be passed to any third party and will only be used in direct relation to your initial enquiry.

11. Items may be secured by the payemnt of a non returnable deposit of no less than 5% of the agreed price, but it shoud be noted that all items remain the property of The Time Traveler PTY LTD (ABN : 61150 154 199) until paid for in full.
12. Every effort is made to ensure our customers are happy and satisfied with our service.
The following conditions are included to comply with the terms of our insurance policy and used only as a last resort.
a) These conditions govern all contracts made by The time Traveler PTY Ltd (hereinafter called "The Vendor").
b) Any disputes arising out of the sale of any items referred to in the catalogues of the Vendor shall be governed by Australian Law.
c) All orders are accepted on the basis that payment is made prior to the delivery of the item by the Vendor.
d) The Vendor reserves the right to amend listed or quoted prices and specifications without notice and may also at any time withdraw any of the items without any prior notice having to be given to the customer.
e) In the event of any of the items being found to be damaged on receipt by the customer, the customer shall be obliged to notify the Vendor in writing within three days of delivery and shall immediately return the goods to the Vendor for their replacement, repair or for a full refund.
f) Any time or date named by the Vendor for the delivery is given and intended as an estimate only based upon conditions prevailing at the time the order is accepted and time shall not be of the essence. The Vendor shall use its best endeavours to supply the goods in accordance with the estimate but it shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising directly or indirectly out of any delay in delivery.
g) All items shall be at the risk of the customer from the date of delivery of the goods.
h) All statements relating to any items sold by the Vendor are statements of opinion and are not nor are they to be relied upon as statements of representation, or fact. Illustrations are solely for the guidance of intending purchasers and are not to be relied upon in terms of tone or colour or necessarily to reveal imperfections in any items. Intending customers must satisfy themselves by inspection or otherwise as to all such matters, as to the physical description of any items and as to whether or not any item has been repaired.
i) The terms: watch, clock, timepiece, chronometer, chronograph; shall at no time be taken to describe the function of any article offered for sale.
j) Not withstanding any other terms of these conditions if within 14 days after the sale the Vendor has received from the customer notice in writing that in his view the item purchased is a deliberate forgery and within 21 days after such notification the customer returns the same to the Vendor in the same condition as at the time of sale and by producing evidence (the burden of proof to be upon the customer) satisfies the Vendor that considered in the light of the description the item is a deliberate forgery then the sale of the item will be rescinded and the purchase price of the same refunded.
k) The Vendor shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable for any loss or damage or injury of whatsoever nature or for any consequence of any such loss injury or damage arising out of, or resulting from any cause whatsoever beyond the Vendor's reasonable control.
